God's Providence and Letting Go

I always know this, but it's hard to remember sometimes, that when you're at the peak of stress and trying to control everything around you - nothing is going to happen until you finally say "Okay, God, you handle it. I know you have my best interest in mind, and I'll stop micromanaging."

The past two weeks of waiting to see if my husband would get the aforementioned (last post) job he interviewed for were grueling, until, when at Mass he heard the readings about the Israelites at Meriba and Massah. This made him (and I as well) realize that God had done some fantastic things, and we needed to stop grinding our teeth about hearing something.

And yesterday, we did. He got the job.

He will be working for the Health Research Center at Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center School of Medicine (http://www.hsc.wvu.edu/som/hrc/). He'll be a Doctor at the Medical School - just nevermind that it's a Ph.D. not an M.D....lol

This means our insurances, his retirement, and other (adult complicated things) will roll over, since he's still working for the State.

So wait, let's take a look at this.

He got an interview within a few weeks of applying for the position, was offered the position only two weeks later, and things like insurance/retirement/etc... aren't going to be a major issue...plus we get to move back into the home we own (and therefore crawl out of the crushing financial burden that is 2 sets of living expenses)?

If that's not God's Love and Charity and Providence all rolled into one...I don't know what is.
