Christmas - and the like.

It's no surprise to me that I was - once again - fairly AWOL this December. This, quite honestly, always makes me a little sad because it means a lot of things happen that I don't remember and therefore don't write about...memories lost I suppose. Then again, perhaps twenty years from now I'll be grateful my blogging slowed down so it boils down to the good stuff.

Back on the 16th, we gave Xave his first taste of Rice Cereal.


As you can see he was a little less than thrilled. Honestly, because the holidays got to be such a rush, we haven't tried again.

Christmas was a lot of fun - Xavier was quite enchanted by all of the wrapping and ribbons, and his ability to stick them in his mouth.

Speaking of Christmas, I almost lost all of our pictures. Something happened with our D60 that caused it to wipe a TON of pictures we were taking. Luckily, ZAR recovered the majority of them...I can't tell you how relieved I am.

I will do a photo post within the next few days of Christmas - at the moment The Husband is sick and there is a lot of house cleaning to be done...

The Fourth Month (and Xave's First Tooth!)

Xavier is four months old today, and has officially (by my standards, so I'm not sure how official that really is) cut his first tooth!

The poor little guy has been teething for the past month or so, but last night, he was acting hysterical for no apparent reason. Eventually, after exhausting a myriad of other possibilities, we prodded into his mouth and found his first tooth beginning to emerge.

Today, to the outrage of Xave, The Husband managed to pry open his mouth once more to get a picture.


Strangely enough, it seems to be coming in on the lower left side, rather than the center. We have established that this will make him look like quite the thug.

Xave has a doctor's appointment this Tuesday, so I'm sure we'll find out more then.

This was from our first attempt at seeing Santa (last Sunday). Xave ended up falling asleep while we were waiting on him to get done "feeding his Reindeer", so when he woke up, he was not interested in cooperating. Thus, The Husband and I went to another mall the next day, and got the picture you can see from my earlier post.

Xave can now grab objects and then put them in his mouth. Quite sanitary, right?

When flying through the air, he likes to stretch out like a board. He's like a little airplane!

Hmm...

Scratch the previous puppy I found...Leap Frog has a much cooler one!

Maybe if I drop enough hints via my blog, The Husband will let me buy it for Xave...haha
